Hawaii-born, San Francisco-seasoned, and NYC-based musician Kim Ann

Foxman has always been a capital-R Raver. For the three decades since

she started to go out, the label owner, singer, and queer-musical-icon has

evolved herself as a solo artist releasing records via her Firehouse &

self:timer labels and as a vocalist with her club hits (“Creature”) and as a

singer on the first two Hercules & Love Affair LPs. Whether she is

performing at nightclubs (Berghain, Bassiani, DC-10), or festivals (Honcho,

Pitch Arts, Sónar), Kim’s time-tested rave anthems will always be in her

DJ-bag. Her latest project, “Pleasure Planet” (forthcoming LP) finds her in

band mode again continuing KAF’s careerlong foray into capturing the

trippy, communal, and intentional feeling of her roots as a P.L.U.R.ist and

basshead.
