DTM FUNK
DTM FUNK (Black Gravity / Horst Festival)
For well over a decade, DTM Funk has been a vital presence in Antwerp’s and Belgium’s music scene as a DJ,curator, promoter and record collector. Rather than being tied to one genre, his musical approach is built around three essential elements: soul, rhythm and movement.
His sets move naturally between percussion-driven grooves, jazz, soul, funk, raw house and techno, always connected by a strong sense of rhythm. Whether playing an early-afternoon festival or closing a dark club night, DTM Funk approaches the dancefloor as a space for movement, connection and discovery. Long before becoming a respected DJ, he was already creating platforms for artists and sounds through his own events and curations. Combining a strong commitment to local talent with a global perspective, he has consistently worked outside fleeting trends while creating safer and more inclusive spaces for musical exploration.
In April 2026, he opened Black Gravity Records & Listening Room in Antwerp: a record store and intimate listening space dedicated to deeper musical discovery. The project brings together record culture, exhibitions, conversations and silent listening sessions, continuing his mission to share music beyond the conventional club environment.
His Black Gravity events explore and transform the legacy of Black music through club nights, talks, films, performances, exhibitions and listening sessions. With Black Gravity Dance, the focus shifts away from the DJ and back towards the dancers and the dancefloor. By working closely with house dancers and inviting them to actively shape the space, the project celebrates dancers as the true heartbeat of club culture.
At the centre of everything DTM Funk does is a belief that music should not simply be consumed, it should be listened to, felt, questioned and lived.
“Longtime Horst resident DTM Funk gloriously manifested his position as one of Belgium's most in-demand andversatile DJ's around.” — HORST FESTIVAL
