Running Hot is the DJ’s DJ. A fast-rising tastemaker in the underground club scene, Running Hot has firmly established his reputation as an incredible selector throughout his time in Berlin, making serious waves with his signature house sound.
Originally from Wales and based in Berlin, Running Hot also known as Mark Newman began his journey into the realm of electronic music at the age of thirteen, sparked by the passion of collecting hard-core rave tapes which has evolved into a lifelong musical love affair. A true tastemaker in the underground dance community, he made his debut in 2022 with his EP The Hardest Step Is Always First, and has since released on acclaimed labels such as Certain Music, Permanent Vacation, and Love On The Rocks. In 2024, he released his debut vinyl EP Hello, World! via Certain Music - a record that sold out and garnered widespread support from Avalon Emerson, Bashkka, CC:Disco, Cromby, Job Jobse, Massimiliano Pagliara, Moxie, Paramida, Peach, Sedef Adasi, and THC. His collaboration with Alex Kassian, ‘The Love Theme’, featured on LOTR’s sold out 10th anniversary compilation Sky Is The Limit, further cementing his growing reputation.
As a DJ, Running Hot has consistently toured across South East Asia and South America, playing standout sets at iconic venues like Panorama Bar and Tresor in Berlin. He is a resident for Berlin’s leading event series Hypersoft and has also become a fixture with the Love On The Rocks crew.
2025 is set to be Running Hot’s biggest year yet with the launch of his self-titled label Running Hot and the release of the boldest and eclectic EP to date Bad For The Body, Good For The Soul - further cementing his rise as a defining force in the global underground.
